We celebrated my boyfriend's 30th birthday at Sam's place and we had the absolute best time! The location is so great - being able to use the path to walk out to the beach in literal minutes. All of Sam's recommendations were awesome and the walk to Center St was fine. We loved sitting out on the screened-in porch and showering outside and just soaking up the beach-side living! Thank you, Sam! and Go UMASS!

We had a wonderful stay. There were beach towels, chairs, toys, and a wagon. The screened in porch added a peaceful place to read and relax. The beach was less than a five minute walk. Sam was an excellent communicator. Everything went smoothly and we had a memorable stay. I highly recommend.

Great location and layout for our family and extended family. We really enjoyed how close this was to the water. The park was a nice touch right behind the home. We have been to Folly Beach numerous times and feel the location of this home was the best compared to the others.

Our first visit to Folly was terrific! We loved the house, its location and proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend this property for a wonderful visit to Folly! This location is perfect for families! The location is close to the beach, the park is in the back yard and there are games galore. While this home has everything you will need, Sam is what makes this property five stars. Sam is the most helpful host and communication is top notch. He is by far the best host and we will definitely return!

Just got back from an amazing family getaway at the Cul-de-Shack and we absolutely adored it! The house and amenities were exactly as described in the listing. The location right next to the playground was perfect for the kids, and we also had plenty of privacy. Plus, Sam, the host, was fantastic - super friendly and always there to answer any questions or address any concerns. We're definitely looking forward to staying again!

My friends and I wanted to an escape from our everyday lives for a celebration of our 40th birthdays. When we decided on South Carolina, we knew we needed to a place near the beach. When Sam’s place popped up in Folly, it felt immediately right. I’ve never stayed at a nicer BNB. I’ve never had a nicer host. Sam’s communication was impeccable. The space he’s created doesn’t feel like a house you visit for a getaway, but a home you’ve always felt comfortable in. Folly is quiet and quaint and a quick walk from the home. The beach is steps away. If you’re looking for your ideal, you’ll find it here. Thanks for everything, Sam! Hope to visit again one day!!

We’ve stayed in Folly several times and this was our favorite. The house was beautiful and an easy walk to the beach. The rental included things like beach chairs, a wagon and coolers so we didn’t have to pack them. The house was clean and well cared for and the kitchen has everything we needed. We will definitely rebook!

My family and I had a great time in Folly Beach! The Cul-de-Shack house was perfect for our week getaway. The place was as advertised. Well-stocked kitchen, great layout, lots of space and everything was clean. We loved the amount of privacy there—lesser traffic being in a cul-de-sac. Also, towels, extra beddings, beach chairs and wagon were available for use. It was a short walk to the beach with a private alley way from the backyard door. A nice kiddie playground is just behind the backyard door if you are a family with little kids. The house has an outside shower to clean off before going inside. Sam, our host, was also very responsive and he made sure that we had a comfortable stay. We would absolutely book here again!

We had a great stay! The house is beautiful and in a perfect location-- just a short walk to the beach. The board games, beach towels and beach wagon were an added bonus. Sam sent lots of instructions and videos to ensure we got checked in and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need for cooking. Overall, everything was wonderful. Our group of 3 adults and 4 children were all very comfortable the entire trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Sam was a great host! The house is great with a playground right outside the yard for the kids and best of all is the location! It's about a 3 minute walk to the beach and close enough to walk to the pier/downtown but far enough to get away from the main beach crowd. It has an outdoor shower below the house to rinse off after the beach as well with hot water making the clean up way easier with the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Cul-de-Shack was awesome. We've stayed on some busy roads on Folly before and we loved the change of pace here on a quiet dead end street. This trip we came with our teenage son and his friend for some beach time; and the short walk to the beach and to our favorite restaurants was a nice bonus through the back gate. Lots of comfy spaces and decor, and we loved the deck/porch combo, direct sun if you want it, shade if you dont. The playground beyond the fence definitely gets used but is super quiet at night (and on more than one occasion we spied our teenage son on the jungle gym!). The outdoor shower was the bomb and perfect spot under the house before you go upstairs to wash off the salt and sand. I took ALL my showers down there!! Unlike some of the beach showers on Folly It has cold AND hot water, and is fully enclosed with a lockable door for complete privacy. We've stayed at many of Sam's rentals in the past, still on top of the check-in/out protocol. We want to come back.
